Belleville & Quinte West Athletes Need Your Help to Get to National Games

posted Mar 1, 2018, 1:39 PM by staceym@specialolympicsontario.ca

Special Olympics Ontario-Belleville & Quinte West is very proud and excited to announce that our community has 8 athletes who have qualified to participate in the National Summer Games in Antigonish, NS (July 31 - August 4) and the National Bowling Championships in PEI (May 13 - 17).  The National Summer Games is a qualifier for the 2019 World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi (March 14-21).

Our community needs to raise much needed funds for the athletes to ensure that they attend training camps ahead of National Games, ensuring that they are at the top of their game by next summer.  Funds are also needed to assist with expenses related to transportation, meals, accommodation and uniforms.  At a minimum, we need to raise $1,200 per athlete!

The athletes are so deserving of this great opportunity and a trip of a lifetime, where new friendships and memories will be made that will last a lifetime – along with an opportunity to win a medal or two!  Please help us today by making a donation that will support our athletes, putting them on the road to success and an opportunity for them to shine on a national platform.
